Hybrid oval watermelon, that reaches an average weight of 10 kg. The peel is striped of a light green, it is very consistent and it's well suited to long journeys and prolonged exposure. The Dumara watermelon is grown throughout Italy, especially in Emilia Romagna, Apulia, Lazio, Sicily, Lombardy, Veneto and Campania. It is eaten fresh, used alone or as an ingredient for salads or to make jams, cakes, sorbets and ice creams. This watermelon is particularly recommended for slimming diets, for the satiating capacity and for the low caloric contribution. It has a good amount of vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium.
